TACO FPT VS Flow Center

The FP1T34 and PF2T34 flow centers feature the Taco 0034e Plus pump and our 3-way 4-postion 1″ FPT geothermal flush and purge valves. The pump volutes and valves are housed in a powder coated sheet metal cabinet which is injected with closed-cell foam for condensation protection when the ground loop fluid temperature drops below the dew point of the conditioned space. These variable speed flow centers have built-in controls and do not require an external controller. The pumps can be set to run at a precise fixed flow rate by setting the RPM, or can operate in differential pressure mode. This is a good solution when more than one heat pump equipped with zone or modulating valves are installed on a common ground loop and share a flow center. The automatic differential pressure control allows the pumps to speed up when zone valves open and slow down when they close. The 0034e also accepts a 0-10V signal so the flow center can be controlled directly by a heat pump that outputs a 0-10V signal.
