Geo-Flo’s depth gauge tools allow the installer to set the proper fusion depth on the pipe. The cold ring tool is locked behind the depth gauge to set the fusion depth. Depth gauge tools are similar to chamfer/depth gauge tools except that these tools are used for setting the fusion depth only. Installers may use these tools when working with smaller diameter pipe such as 3/4″ or 1″ where chamfering is not as crucial, or when working as a team were one person chamfers many pipe sections and another sets the fusion depth and applies the cold ring pliers. These depth gauge tools are for IPS pipe, and are manufactured in accordance with ASTM F1056.
