Bedford, Indiana, USA, November 21, 2022 – Geo-Flo Corporation announced today that it has purchased the injection mold tooling from Viega, LLC used to manufacture the Viega ProGeo GeoFusion® line of geothermal socket fusion fittings and brass-to-PE adapters. Viega’s innovative products have been a foundation of the geo-thermal heating and cooling industry for many years. They had produced the GeoFusion® line, which consists of nearly 100 different finished parts, for over three decades and ceased production in 2021 to focus on their other core products and business. Viega’s exit from the geothermal fittings market last year created a void that Geo-Flo attempted to fill with other manufacturer’s standard fittings along with Geo-Flo’s CNC machining capabilities, hydraulic crimping equipment, and engineering expertise. However, many of the fittings Viega developed were unique and require injection mold tooling to produce. Geo-Flo has a long history with plastics as they owned more than a dozen injection mold tools prior to the Viega purchase and have been producing injection molded products and fitting sets for over 20 years. Before tool shipping, Viega removed their logo from the tooling allowing Geo-Flo to re-brand the fittings under their own name. Geo-Flo President, Tom Wyer, said “With this acquisition and the CB Supplies fusion tools acquisition announced in October, Geo-Flo has become a complete geothermal fittings and accessories business, manufacturing and supplying everything between the heat pump and the ground loop and the tools to install and service them. We make everything except loop pipe and heat pumps”. The tooling has been delivered and Geo-Flo will immediately begin production ramping up inventory levels over the next 3-6 months.
